4 weeks. That is how long we planned to stay in Australia. Our main reason being the cost to travel is so high in this country. Well, it sucked us in, like it has countless travelers before us and we spent a total of 8 weeks in this country. Sadly, we didn’t even scratch the surface on a country comparable in size to the United States.
The time we spent here went fast as we rented a campervan in Melbourne and drove the Great Ocean Road and then back up the east coast for the first 5 weeks. Following our stay in CAirns, we hopped on a plane and flew back to Melbourne, ending up in the small town of Kyabram where we worked on a horse farm for 2.5 weeks before flying up to Darwin and facing the Cage of Death.
We spent 1,344 hours in Australia and managed to consolidate some of our favorite moments into a 4 minute video for you. 1,344 hours seems like a long time, but we barely scratched the surface and if we ever win the lottery, we will be back to explore more of this beautiful country.
