Mexico city is always good for some odd art on the streets. The last time I was there with my parents there were crazy painted cows all over the streets. This year it was mugs! The largest coffee mugs in the world are found in Mexico City!
What is Tazas Reforma? 12 giant coffee cups that were up for two months on Reforma Avenue in Mexico City.
What is cool, is these cups are Divergent just like us!
Each cup was about 8 ft tall and took three people to reach around the mug.
Does that come in decaf?
Can I get an extra shot?
Where can i find a cup that size?
This cup will keep you going for 24 hours!
What’s next, huge cookies to dunk in the cups?
Now that’s a cup of Joe!
The red one is the one i liked the most. It was busted into pieces. Way cool!
The wonderful artists were Aldo Chaparro, Ale de la Puente, Marcela Torres and Omar Armas. The exhibit was curated by Santiago Espinosa de los Monteros and was shown in the streets for a month in Reforma. We were some of the lucky people to see the huge cups on display.
