HIGH ARCTIC SVALBARD
11 DAYS/10 NIGHTS

We have secured an UNBELIEVABLE deal for you!
If you have had the High Arctic on your bucket list but haven’t pulled the trigger, now is the time. We have negotiated the price of a lifetime and can guarantee you’ll never see a price this low again.
“Enter the realm of the Polar Bear.”
Join Divergent Travel Trips for our first group trip to the Arctic! We have been to the Arctic region five times, and we can’t wait to share its wonders with you.
Spend 10 days with us on an expedition in Svalbard, while we explore the most magical landscapes around the island of Spitsbergen.
Our expedition dates also align with PRIME polar bear and whale season! We’ll also have the opportunity to look for walrus, guillemots, rare ivory gulls, bearded seals, reindeer, and Arctic foxes.
Our trip will be operated in partnership with a top polar expedition company. This means we’ll have access to some amazing expedition guides.
We will spend expedition time around the largest island in Svalbard, Spitsbergen. Each touchpoint offers you different landscapes to explore, wildlife to observe, and activities.
Every single day in the Arctic you will get off the ship! We are not just sailing by. You’ll get to touch, smell, feel, and explore this stunning place.
Our expert expedition team will be off the ship with us, exploring and educating. Onboard, they will offer educational seminars so you can truly get to know this wild place.
Using the expedition ship, World Traveller, as our base, we’ll explore this extreme region of the world in comfort. You’ll be offered prime photography opportunities and assistance with your settings to ensure you get great photos if you desire.
Daily activities include zodiac cruises, landings, paddling excursions (extra), and wildlife spotting. Our days will be dictated by weather conditions and animal sightings.
Something to note: You do not need to be a photographer to join this trip. The focus of this trip is to provide a full immersion into the wildness of the Arctic. But, if you want to take photos, we’ll have amazing opportunities to do so.
If all you have is an iPhone, no worries! We can help you achieve the most with it.
If photography is of no interest to you at all, that’s ok too. Bring your binoculars and get ready for some incredible sightings.
If photography is of no interest to you at all, that’s ok too.

August 28 – September 2, 2025 Exploring Svalbard & Crossing N80°
Even in one of the most isolated regions of the Arctic, there is still the captivating history of a pioneering past. Our expedition leaders, along with the captain and onboard pilot, will determine possible landings each day for all-out explorations. Wildlife abounds throughout the archipelago of Svalbard, such as puffins, reindeer, Arctic terns and foxes. An expert photographer will help you look out for the perfect photo opportunity of these animals, but especially for the elusive polar bear. As Zodiac cruises may bring you closer to glaciers, keep your eyes on the water for whale fins.
Crossing N80° Moffen – Captain’s Choice
Follow in the wake of great explorers like Francis Drake, Captain James Cook and Henry Hudson who attempted to cross the 80th parallel in search of a passageway that connects the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. The N80° is the circle of latitude that is 80 degrees north of the Earth’s equatorial plane, in the Arctic, intersecting the Atlantic Ocean, Europe, Asia, the Arctic Ocean and North America. Just north of 80° after the point of the crossing you will come to Moffen, a small, low island north of the mouth of Wijdefjorden, on the northern coast of Spitsbergen, the largest island of the Svalbard archipelago.
CAPTAIN’S CHOICE — Our Captain will expertly navigate ice floes, icebergs and changing sea and weather conditions to ensure you experience the most from your expedition. Each day is a new adventure filled with a spontaneous sense of exploration as your Captain works with our expedition team to determine possible shore landings and Zodiac safaris. All itinerary routes serve as examples and are subject to change based on current conditions, prioritizing the safety and optimal expedition experience for all guests.

September 3, 2025 – Arrive at Longyearbyen at 12pm & Overnight
Longyearbyen is in a valley on the shores of the idyllic Adventfjord, surrounded by steep mountains and several glaciers. There are only around 25 miles of roads in this village, which is divided into several neighborhoods, including the town center and Nybyen (New Town), which consists of charming miners’ barracks constructed after the war, as well as guest houses, a restaurant and gallery, and not to mention beautiful views of the landmark mountain, Hiorthfjellet. Be sure to visit the Svalbard museum as a break between the plethora of activities like summer dogsledding or cruising to the abandoned Russian city of Pyramiden.
